California's journey toward diversifying, expanding, and maintaining healthy drinking water supplies has reached a new milestone with the recent adoption of new regulations governing water recycling for potable reuse.

The new regulations are complex, confusing, and may be interpreted or applied inconsistently when water utilities apply for permits to build new treatment plants. CalVal aims to clarify these regulations to help water utility operators navigate the permitting process more efficiently.
